Surgical methods vary depending on the degree of sagging of the upper eyelid. For cases where the upper eyelid has drooped significantly and evenly, a traditional method involves making an incision along the double eyelid line. For cases where the eyelid edge is particularly sagging, creating a triangular-shaped appearance, a more modern method involves making an incision along the eyebrow line.

This method is more commonly used in relatively young patients. In both cases, the scars are visible initially after surgery, but fade over time, 

becoming nearly invisible. The surgery is performed under local anesthesia and, as a cosmetic procedure, is not covered by insurance.
